Dadyoe came to us in June 2008 after being dumped at an Albuquerque pound. He is a grey wolf and was 7 months old when he was rescued. He showed signs of being abused and was frightened of people, especially men. When his pen was full of volunteers building his shelter he found a friend in 4-year-old McKenzie. They sat quietly together for more than an hour until his shelter was complete. After several months with us he has calmed down a great deal and is friendlier every day. |

Kola & Wihopa were 2 years old when they were rescued in June 2008 from Flagstaff, Arizona. They are siblings who love children and jogging. Kola was exhibiting head tremors due to malnourishment when he came to us. Wihopa was skin and bones, and had a bad case of tapeworm. They are now both in excellent health, and receive vitamins with their meat and kibble every day. Kola and Wihopa are up for adoption, but MUST be adopted together. |

At 125 lbs. Hokshila makes quite an impression as a Wanagi Wolf Fund ambassador. People are always surprised at how gentle and friendly he is. Hokshila was abandoned at the Tulsa River in Oklahoma in 2001 when he was 1 1/2 years old. A good Samaratin cared for him and drove him to New Mexico to live with us. Standing 6'3" on his hind legs, he can look even a large man in the eyes while he gives hugs and kisses. |
